Introduction

How to Process
Check the machine and remove asset tags
Storage media
- Do not remove the storage if the print passes the value check. The storage will be needed for testing later.
- Remove the storage if the printer failed the value check.
- Most copiers will have hard drives. Ask your supervisor if you can not locate the hard drive.
Value Check
- Scrap Rules: The base scrap limit is $30; however, the scrap limit for some items varies based on size and salability. All larger printers (Any dimensions over 17″) must sell with shipping for over $100; otherwise, the item will be scrapped
- Make sure the listing model or part number exactly matches the item on hand. eBay will often ignore dashes or backslashes; it’ll also display random items, so it’s essential to ensure the correct item is selected.
- Use the ‘For Parts’ Listing when an item is missing important parts for testing, such as the print head.
Brand/Model Specific
Zebra:
- Most Zebra printers include a configuration or part number. Use this number to perform a value check and identify the exact item. If no sold results are found using the configuration or part number, then use the model number instead.

Magicard Enduro+:
- If the Magicard Enduro+ printer does not come with ribbon, then it’s scrap.
- Only apply for Magicard Enduro+; other models still need a value check
- Magicard Enduro+ only works with the brand-new ribbon. If there is no ribbon in the printer, we are not able to test it.

Item type specific

- The fax machine scrap value is $100.
|
Ink Check Scanner
- Value Check as “For Parts”

Note
- Leave a note for any difference between the listing and the item on hand.
- Leave a note if the price is converted.
Extra
- Do not remove paper, card, ribbon, ink, or toner if the item goes to eBay.
- Leave the ribbon in if you go to scrap, but make sure there is no customer info on the ribbon. The ribbon has info that will treat it like an Asset tag.
- For scrap metal case Thermal printers, put in #1079 SCRAP: FERROUS METAL or #1094 SCRAP: NON-FERROUS METAL based on metal type.
