How to replace a vessel

Last Updated on December 17, 2025 by

Now it’s Time To Replace a vessel. There are a few rules.

Open Where to Put Items In Another Window.

  • Replace the vessel when the pallet reaches 5ft tall, or Gaylord is filled up.
  • Do not always wait for the next person to replace the vessel; just replace the vessel when needed.
  • Scrap vessels need to be weighed and the weight label completed.
  • Do not overfill scrap vessels. They might need to be double-stacked later.

Remove Old Stickers

  • Remove all old stickers/labels from Gaylord when creating a new vessel.
  • Leaving old stickers causes confusion.

Print Vessel Labels

Go to Where to Put Items and select the appropriate item category for the vessel you are replacing.

Type the same number from the previous label in the search field and verify that it matches what you are replacing.

Vessel Weights Required?

  • Complete the Vessel Weights label as instructed if it prints out using a black pallet marker, so it is visible when pictures are taken later.
  • Ensure the tare weight label is always on the front of the vessel.
  • After creating the replacement vessel, push the empty vessel on the scale and record the tare weight.
    • The pallet vessel needs a layer of cardboard on it first.
  • The vessel references both the Pallet and Gaylord or just the pallet if items go directly onto the pallet, like scrap PC or Scrap Server.
