How to Process
Check for the Asset tag
- Check and remove the asset tag.
Storage media
- Check and remove storage media.
- Locate the small pinhole on the front of the drive, straighten a standard paper clip, and gently insert the point into the hole to activate the emergency release mechanism, which should pop the drive open.
Extra
- For external drives, check the internal connector to determine whether the drive needs passthrough. Sometimes the internal connector is different than the external connector.
- The IDE connector is missing 1 Pin in the middle. SCSI 50 Pin is not missing any pins.
