Testing

  • Choose a monitor brand from giving options. If not an option, use other.

  • Check screen condition.

Is it cracked, damaged, or intact? Cracked or damaged LCDs will be scrapped.

  • Check all port for physical damage.

Monitor that included damaged port will be scrapped.

  • Check included stand or not

Do not remove stand for good LCD monitor.

Wipe down the LCD screen with Windex or surface cleaner to remove any grease or gunk, minor scuffs can also be removed with a simple wipe.  (Do not wipe the case or stand unless they are extremely dirty, just the screen)

Do NOT spray the solution directly onto the LCD – it can run down the LCD screen, and cause damage to electronic components behind the bezel; instead, spray a little on the cloth, then rub the screen gently.

  • Identify Power Requirement.

Identify the power requirements for the monitor e.g standard power cord or Mickey mouse. or if a power supply is required, use the AC adapter from the test AC adapter bin for testing only.
