Quality Check Orders

All the pulled orders will be placed on the rack next to the bubble wrap machine, if space permits it. Larger Items may be placed on a cart or on the floor.

Verify that the packing slip and the item match. Items may have shifted while they were being picking, so it is critical that the correct packing slip is matched with the correct item. After all the items have been lined up on the rack, there will need to be 2x different people to Quality Check each and every order. Two people are required to eliminate the possibility of the wrong item being packed and shipped.

The two Quality Check Personnel will need to verify that the item ID on the item matches what’s on the packing slip. They will also need to verify that the Brand and model on the item matches what’s on the order form.

If the pulled item is a computer; verify that the specs on the tech label match what’s in the title of the item. If they don’t match contact your supervisor to find out if adjustments need to be made to the order.

And finally the Quality Check Personnel will need to verify that the correct quantity has been pulled; the quantity is highlighted to the left of the picture of the sold item. If the quantity does not match; contact your supervisor. Do not go hunting for the missing item, or put items back on the shelf. There maybe a reason for the discrepancy.

When check motherboards; verify that the CPU pins are not bent. If you are not sure how to do this; ask your supervisors. Do Not guess. If you guess wrong it could result in a damaged motherboard. *** If the motherboard has a heatsink on it; do not remove it to check the pins. Only check pins on motherboards that do not have an included heatsink.

Failure to correctly QC the orders will result in errors from angry costumers to returned orders both of which will cost the company money.

  • You CANNOT QC any orders that you pulled.
  • You must initial every order you QC
  • Only initial an order after you have reviewed and verified that the item and packing slip match.
  • Do NOT QC an order while talking; a distracted person will make mistakes.

The second QC person, needs to place any required power cords on top of the item so they can been included with the listing. If you are not sure if an item requires a power cord ask your supervisor.

After all the items have been QC; Packing may begin.
